Work Experience

During sixth form as part of my enrichment time I chose to take part in my college’s valuable work experience scheme. Doing this I was able to gained valuable insight and interaction with children aged 5 upwards. One of the ways in which this was done was through working with a local primary school with year 2 students helping them with their work and aiding their reading with one on one sessions. Another way experience was gained was through a program called ‘Literacy Leaders’. This program allowed a group of sixth form students to encourage and coach a group of year 7 students leading by example and helping them develop their literacy skills. Below you will find a ‘Certificate of Achievement’ recognizing my successful completion of a work placement at ‘St Elizabeth Catholic Primary School’ and also a review sheet from my time there.
